¶ How to Transfer a Call from the Lock Screen (iPhone)
When you are on a VOCPhone call and your iPhone is locked, the screen you are looking at is the iOS call screen — not the VOCPhone app.
The iOS call screen only offers Audio, Video, Mute, More, End and Keypad. There is no Transfer button on it. This is normal iPhone behaviour and applies to every calling app, not just VOCPhone.
To transfer the call you first need to open VOCPhone, and the way through is the More (…) button.
In short: tap More (…) on the lock screen → unlock your phone → tap Transfer or Att. Transfer in VOCPhone.
¶ Step 1 — Tap the More (…) button
On the lock screen, the call controls appear with More (…) on the bottom-left, next to the red End button.

¶ Step 2 — Unlock your phone
Because the phone is locked, iOS will ask you to unlock before it can open the app. Use Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
Your call stays connected the whole time — unlocking does not drop or mute the caller.
¶ If you cannot see the call controls
If the lock screen only shows a small banner (VOCPhone Audio with the caller's name and the call timer) and no buttons, the call controls are collapsed.
Do one of the following:
- Tap the banner / Dynamic Island at the top of the screen to expand the call controls, then follow Step 1, or
- Tap Open in VOCPhone at the bottom of the screen to jump straight into the app.
¶ Step 3 — Transfer the call in VOCPhone
VOCPhone now opens on its own in-call screen, which has the full set of call controls, including both transfer options.

¶ Blind transfer
- Tap Transfer.
- Search for a contact or type the extension / phone number.
- Confirm the transfer. The caller is sent through immediately and your call ends.
¶ Attended (warm) transfer
- Tap Att. Transfer.
- Search for a contact or type the extension / phone number.
- Wait for the other person to answer and introduce the caller.
- Complete the transfer to connect the two parties together. Your call then ends.
- If the other person cannot take the call, cancel instead and you will return to the original caller.
¶ Frequently asked questions
Why isn't there a Transfer button on the lock screen?
The lock screen call controls are provided by iOS, not by VOCPhone, so the buttons available there are fixed by Apple. Transfer is a VOCPhone feature, so it lives in the VOCPhone in-call screen.
Do I have to unlock my phone every time?
Only while the phone is locked. If your phone is already unlocked, tapping More (…) or Open in VOCPhone takes you straight to the VOCPhone call screen.
Will the caller hear me while I move between screens?
Yes — the call stays live and unmuted (unless you have muted it). The caller will hear you the entire time unless you place them on Hold.
Nothing happens when I tap More (…).
Unlock the phone and open VOCPhone from your home screen instead. The active call is still running and the app will open on the in-call screen.
